Defibrillator Training Video

A number of GBC members have been trained in the use of the club’s defibrillator.

If someone requires defibrillation:

  • First, ask if there is anyone present that has been trained in the use of the defibrillation machine.
  • If there isn’t anyone present that has been trained, the defibrillator can be used by an untrained person if required.  Just follow the instructions.  The machine will not operate if the person may be hurt.  It will not work if applied incorrectly.
  • When applying chest compressions, if you become tired, ask someone else to take over.  Applying chest compressions can become quite tiring.

IT IS BETTER TO TRY TO SAVE A LIFE RATHER THAN LETTING THEM DIE.
